7 Months old

Our big boy is now 7 months old!  He is such a big, sweet boy.  He is a busy busy little boy.  He loves to play with his toys, swing, and splash in the pool.  He is starting to crawl.  It ain't pretty, but he gets where he needs to go!  He is going through a sleep strike, but will usually settle right down when he gets in our bed.  Hmmmmm...I think we've created a monster!

I am back to work after a really fun summer at home with my boy.  It's good to be back, but I miss him!  He has started staying at Dane Dane's, and he loves it.  He loves playing with all the other children!

We received our official "Order of Adoption" today!  It's all official now!

This boy is worth every penny, but the tax refund would definitely help with the expenses of adoption. It's not cheap!  

In other news, Gaines is sitting up by himself so good now.  He still does not have a single tooth, even though he has been drooling and chewing on everything for 3 months now!  He is so sweet and hardly ever cries.  We are just so blessed!

Dr

Gaines had his 6 month check up today. He weighs 18 pounds 6 ounces and is 26 and 1/2 inches long. Big boy! Dr. Smith said he looked great! He got 3 shots again and was not pleased about that.

6 months old

Gaines is 6 months old today! Wow! He is sitting up, (not for long periods of time yet)
rolling all over, and eating lots of new foods! He gets more fun every day.

He loves to eat, swing in his new swing, jump in the jumper and grab the cats. They are pretty tolerant right now. Hope it lasts.

Five Months Old

Gaines is such a big boy!  He weighs in at 17 pounds now!  Wow!  He is smart and silly and oh so sweet.  He loves his bouncy, and loves to watch cartoons with music - Fresh Beat Band, Dora, Diego, Elmo.  He is almost too big for his swing now, but still gets in from time to time.  He rolls over from back to stomach ALL the time.  But, he will not roll the other way.  He just lies on his tummy and gets very angry until we roll back over.  He has done it a couple of times, but refuses now.  He is eating rice cereal with fruit now. He loves bananas.  Apples are pretty good.  Peaches and Pears are just OK.  He has also started a vegetables but has only had sweet potatoes so far.  He likes those too.  The boy just loves to eat!  He is a great sleeper most of the time.  He occasionally gets in our bed, but I secretly love it! : )  He slept until 9:30 this morning.  Summer is wearing him out!

Stan and I cannot imagine what we did without this boy.  We are so so blessed!  He truly brightens every single day.  He smiles and laughs so much.  He loves his toys, especially his snail and his monkey.  He likes his doggie "love" too.  He also loves his new squeaky giraffe.  My only complaint is his new habit of pooping in the tub!  Ugh!

We went to Germantown today to see Edward and Christina. Baby Ed will be making his appearance Wednesday! We can't wait.
