We enjoyed our time here a lot! I admit, it was nice living in our little bubble and really getting to know each other. But, we are oh so ready to see HOME! I was honestly starting to think it was never going to happen. Got a full day of driving ahead but it will end with us at OUR house! Can\'t wait to see my family, friends, and my kitties :)

Losing my mind!

We are still here! The agent had said we would have clearance Monday or Tuesday. It's now Wednesday and she is saying she is not allowed to call MS ICPC?? She said she would call Michigan ICPC late this afternoon if she hasn't heard. I thought we had until Friday on apartment, but got an email that our check out is tomorrow at 11. Feel like jumping out of my skin! I don't understand this at all. But she has me scared to call MS ICPC myself. Never knew how crazy this process was. Wow. He's totally worth it. Just feel like I can't sit here another day waiting, waiting, waiting.

We are impatiently waiting for the call that will send us home!! We have a very long drive ahead, so the sooner the better. The agency felt like we would be cleared yesterday or today. No go on yesterday, so pray, pray, pray we get the call VERY soon. If you didn\'t already know, we want to go home!!

We got a call this morning from the agency. Apparently, Michigan DID receive the paperwork on Thursay. They reviewed our info and sent it on to Mississippi on Friday. It should have gotten to the MS ICPC today. Sooooo, hopefully MS will be quick and we can come HOME! Please pray that we get the call early tomorrow!

Moral of this story: I need to calm myself down and not be so impatient! I did let the agent know that I was sorry for being short with her. She said she completely understood our impatience.

Yep. Still in Michigan

Well, we are still here. We have to be out of our apartment on Friday, so I just pray we are HOME by then.
ICPC in Michigan has to approve the paperwork, then send it to MS. The paperwork was supposedly overnighted to the Michigan office after court on Wednesday. However, as of Friday afternoon, Michigan ICPC had not received it. Hmmm?? We are getting really tired of this runaround. Wish people would just do what they say they are going to do. Frustrating!! When I called the agency to let them know I had called ICPC to check on paperwork, the agent said that no one is supposed to call ICPC because it makes them very angry and that she hoped it wouldnt "jeopardize our paperwork"! Wow! The lady at ICPC didn't seem mad at all. I am just so over all of this! We have really enjoyed the wonderful bonding time with Gaines, but we need to get back to real life!

We just left the pediatrician for weight check He weighs 9 pounds! And is 20 1/2 inches long!

Court went great! Gaines is officially ours! Hallelujah! Praise God! Thank you all for your prayers! Now we wait on the interstate compact so we can COME HOME! Could be a week but hopefully less!!
